Beltangady: Youth bids goodbye to US job, joins Indian army as lieutenant

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Jun 14: “When my son went to America, my close relatives said that I have lost one son. But I told them that he is going to come back to native place after education. However, when he took up job in USA, I was concerned. Now we all are happy and proud of my son,” said Ganapati Bhat, father of Satwika Kulaverma of Beltangady, who has earned the rank of lieutenant in the Indian Army.

Satwika, who completed his engineering in Arizona University and took up a job, returned to India two and a half years ago with the ambition of joining the Indian army. He studied at home and attended the examination and tasted success in the second attempt.

As he completed his training, passing out parade was held on June 11 at Dehradun and Satwika is appointed in signal regiment of Jammu. After completing two weeks of orientation training at Jabalpur, he will join the service.

Satwika completed his primary education in a church school of Beltangady and St Theresa School. Later, he pursued PUC in SDM College and degree in Bengaluru and went to USA for higher studies.

He says, “I was fascinated by Indian Army at a very young age. However, I had to work in USA to pay back the loan taken to complete my education. Once I cleared the loan, I came back to India and prepared myself for the examination. I trained myself physically around the surroundings of my house. I got selected in the technical graduation course 133.”

Satwika says that many in South India are interested to join Indian army but do not try to get more information. This situation needs to be changed, he said.

It is a proud moment for all of us, that our very own will defend the motherland. In the army there's no concept of any religion, they have joint worship of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Sikh Priests. Hence, please let's not give this noble occupation a religious colour.

Govt. should make it compulsory one in family to join armed forces. That will instill nationalism in every family and citizens of the country. Now a days many youth are misguided by fringe and go haywire and spoil future. Armed forces is one place where you get to serve your motherland directly and build safe future. Jai Hind.

Proud of this Real Desh Bakhth, when there are so many naam ke vasthe Reel or Fake Desh Bhakths. A perfect/live example for an output from Christian institutions, and these selfish politicians blame Christians for Conversions!!! Even the Current politicians want their children to study and get good future through Christian Institutions, but just for their selfish motives, they keep people of this country, especially the less privileged away from good education by teaching them hate and anti-religion lessons and blame the peace loving Christians for Conversions!!! I bet, 7 to 8 out of 10 famous, successful, important, great .... personalities including many of the famous current politicians of this country are the product/output of Christian Institutions. If possible, prove me wrong!!! Jai Hind!!!

The action merits appreciation . Wish him a rewarding career in Army. It is painful to note that for everything people tend to give political/relegious color where there is none . It is good people commenting give their constructive comments instead of using filthy languages towards our political/relegious leaders of any Party /relegion.
