Kundapur: Contractor, social worker killed in road accident

Kundapura, June 15: A contractor and Hindu cemetery construction specialist was killed in a motorbike accident on Thekkatte National Highway.

The deceased is Thekkate Bettu Surendra Devadiga (43).

He was admitted with a severe head injury in a private hospital in Udupi .However, he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last on Wednesday, June 15.

Surendra Devadiga was popular in the region due to active involvement in several social work organisations.

He leaves behind his wife, a brother, a sister and parents.

    Always wear a helmet not just helmet but helmet strap too without which helmet is useless, saved my life once, got away with hearing just a thud sound when helmet hid the road. The said victim of hospital was discharged from hospital & brought home. Abriad there are strict rules such as DISCHARGE AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE, but here we prefer washing our hands off cases. Alarming number of deaths on this highway road stretch, hear of at least one a day. Strict rules against JAYWALKING too need to be made into law on this road

    RIP:Sad .Many lives are lost in road accidents ,than Corona in the last few years.specially bike accidents have increased.Please take care .
