Jun 15: Nil Covid cases reported in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada adds 12 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 15: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, Jun 15, reported twelve new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero case.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,676 out of which 38 are currently active.

 The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Nil corona cases were reported on Jun 15, the total active Covid cases are five. One patient was discharged from hospital on Wednesday.

A total of 10,87,077 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,72,924 have received both doses and 81,372 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
