Readers, in Mumbai, every flat has safety or collapsing grills, whereas in Mangaluru the concept of safety is strangely absent.. citizens should never compromise their safety especially in highrise apartments...

High rise buildings these days have look more important than safety of either dwellers or visitors & specially kids who play without knowing it might be a fall to death possibility. Like in US here too corporation & fire brigade officials should visit each & every building & suggest them to erect barricades or grills to prevent these tragic incidences giving them time to comply failing which a heavy fine should be imposed on builders & dwellers including the society until they obey.
