Mangaluru: VHP, BD denied permission to hold rally condemning violence in Prophet row protests

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SS)

Mangaluru, Jun 16: The police have denied permission to the activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) to hold a protest rally on June 16 in Mangaluru.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal had planned a rally against people who were indulging in violence on the pretext of protesting against the statements made against the Prophet.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal are protesting nation-wide against the violence that had erupted in the wake of the statement made against the Prophet. It had been decided to hold a protest near the PVS Circle, the announcement of which was made in the social media.

Sharan Pumpwell

“No letter has been given seeking permission to hold a protest. With a view to maintain law and order permission has been denied,” said the police department.

VHP secretary Sharan Pumpwell said, “We had sought permission from the police to hold a protest. However, since we have been denied police permission it has been decided to condemn the violence that has erupted all over the country by submitting a petition to the president of India through the deputy commissioner on Thursday.

People ,your protest always dont work.Think a bit and keep quiet this time atleast .Accept the fact that route cause came from your own?You think everything what you say and do will go through? Now Protest ?with protest you will not get the things done right what already made the biggest blunder.Police have done the right thing not to allow. You must be thinking what you say and do will be allowed.

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." All these fanatic groups are growing under BJP rule. This is what our country is progressing towards unknown destination and senseless goals. We need to blame our present government who are acting very soft way citing political fame and Hindutva as their ultimate goal.

Right decision by the law of the land... We don't want further erosion of peace in the society... This episode has demonstrated that there will always be mountain in front of a mountain... So everyone must behave within limits... As for Nupur she must spend reasonable time behind bars for such outrageous statement that led to death of few protesters... Any life is precious... However small or insignificant...
