Mangaluru: Tempo crashes against electricity pole; driver killed, two injured

Mangaluru, Jul 1: A 407 tempo that was ferrying daily wagers to work lost control and collided against an electricity pole by the road. The driver of the vehicle lost his life. Two persons are injured and recuperating in a hospital.

The accident occurred on the road near Karnad industrial area on Thursday, June 30 late night. The deceased driver is identified as Yashawantharaya (43), a resident of Bijapur Colony and a native of Kalburgi. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries.

The electrical wires snapped due to the impact of the collision as the pole broke into two pieces. Bhagavantharaya (60) and Kumara (45) are recovering in the hospital.

    this bijapur side ghatis are worst drunkards than our locals.. moreover, now they are enjoying life in dk and udupi as they have come to know that athi buddivanthas can be easily taken for ride..so all this gapla. most of them are tight in the morning itself. district administrations are not bothered..many slums have come up because of these people..but we are busy with beef and love jihad.

    ..........come to know that athi buddivanthas can be easily taken for ride"....kujuji, Mangalurian locals are very smart ........one rupee extra wont come out from their jebu. Charche over every transactions you can see. Here, our people do not involve in road construction/bldg construction....things like this. We rather stay jobless, and rely on loan and alcohol but never will we work on lesser wages......These Uthkade (uttara kannada) people work and live a good std of life. Their wives/children engage in house works ...men in construction. Their asli story was known during demonetisation' time. They dont open account here. During monsoon they go to their villages and engage in farming. After working here, they purchased land in their villages and constructed the houses. Govt is giving them free ration etc. Clothes/things they ask from us......In conclusion, they are self sufficient....They are laughing at the mentality of Mangalurian people. They say, we are very selfish. are depending on them. Rest everything what you said in your comment cent percent i agree.....
