Mangaluru: Boat capsizes in Netravati river, one goes missing

Mangaluru, Jul 2: In a tragic incident, three men who were attempting to lift a boat used for traditional sand mining from Netravati river, got washed away in the water on Saturday July 2.

The three men who were in the boat were Raju Sah, Montu Sah and Nagendra Kumar Sayani, all from Uttar Pradesh. The boat they were in, capsized got washed away and got stuck under Adyar-Pavoor bridge.

Though Montu Sah and Nagendra Kumar swam and reached the shore, Raju Sah and the boat went missing.

The boat is owned by Asif and Isak.
