Abu Dhabi, Mar 23: Mohammed Ali Uchil was re-elected president of the Bearys Welfare Forum’s (BWF), during its general body meeting held at Indian Islamic Centre, here recently. This was followed by a joint meting of the newly formed BWF executive committee and newly formed BWF youth wing.
Mohamed Ali Uchil, president, BWF, presided over the meeting. Abdul Rauf conducted the Quran recitation while BWF vice-president Hamza Abdul Khader welcomed the gathering.
Abdulla Madumoole, general secretary, BWF, conducted the programme with a detailed report. He thanked all the members for their support and emphasized BWF’s commitment to serving the poor and the needy in the community.
Mohammed Siddik, treasurer, BWF, presented the financial report while Abdul Majeed, auditor, BWF, presented the auditor’s report.
Informative and strong discussions were held about the issues facing the community and ways of addressing it. Mohamed Rafeek Krishnapur and Basheer Bajpe, along with Imran Ahmed, co-ordinated the programme.
The new youth wing of BWF was formed with much enthusiasm and spirit. Abdul Rauf is the co-ordinator of the BWF youth wing. Nawaj Uchil and Abdul Jaleel Bajpe are the captains.
Mohammed Ali Uchil, in his presidential address, thanked all the members of the BWF for dedicated service to the community. He thanked the office-bearers for their team spirit, tireless effort to serve the community, and their complete dedication to the cause BWF believes in. He expressed his gratitude to all the donors who helped BWF embark on the novel mission of mass marriage of less privileged girls.
Mohamed Rafeeq Krishnapur, co-ordinator, BWF, delivered the vote of thanks.
