Mangaluru: Valedictory, initiation of PG course held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Jun 30: The valedictory and initiation of post-graduate (PG) diploma in guidance and counselling for the year 2021-22 (warrior) and 2022-23 (catalysts) respectively, was held at St Agnes PG and Research Centre on Friday June 29.

As many as 17 participants cleared their PG diploma in guidance and counselling for the year 2021-22 and 19 participants initiated the new academic year 2022-23.

Advocate in district court Mangaluru Aruna P said, “Today, counselors are the need of the hour due to rising family issues. When there is unhappy atmosphere in the family, children tend to take wrong routes. Happy atmosphere can stop them from getting attracted to drugs and other bad habits. When it comes to jobs, there is a lot of demand for counselors in courts.”

Principal St Agnes College Dr M Venissa AC said, “As students, you have to learn to assess and read minds as you are entering a sensitive zone. We need so many counselors as humanity has turned vulnerable.”

Lolita Rodrigues compered the event, Anvitha welcomed the gathering, and Zarah Ahmed rendered the vote of thanks.

Course coordinator Dr Lugina Miranda, and faculty Precilla was also present.
