Mangaluru, Aug 1: To acknowledge the significance of the Hindi language and to enhance the importance of the language, 'Hindi Week' was conducted for our students from Kindergarten to Class 10 from July 18-22.
The Hindi week was inaugurated by Fr principal on July 18. The assemblies during the week were conducted in Hindi and students actively participated in the assemblies by reciting poems, shayaris, information about poets, riddles etc. The finale of the week was conducted on July 22.
During the week various competitions were conducted for all grades. The students of class 1 and 2 had poem recitation competition. The students of class 3 to 5 had short speech competition. The students of class 6 and 7 had story telling competition. The students of class 8 had paragraph writing competition and the students of class 9 and 10 had to prepare comic strips.
The students participated actively in the competitions and emphasised the importance of our National language which binds the whole country together. Students enjoyed the various competitions and realised that learning Hindi language is also fun and enjoyable.
