Mangaluru, Aug 30: Much awaited Tulu film ‘Pattanaje’ directed by Dr Thonse Vijay Kumar which presents Tulu culture and values is scheduled to release on September 1.
Addressing media here on Wednesday, August 30, director Thonse Vijay Kumar said, “The film by Kalajagattu Creations has received U certificate from the censor board. The film has been shot at Shakthinagar, Kutthar, Sasihitlu, Sultan Battery, Kodavoor and Moodbidiri. The film was completed in a 26-day schedule. ‘Pattanaje’ is full of Tulu culture and values. V Manohar has composed the music; Vijay Kumar Kodialbail has penned the dialogues, while Suresh Babu has captured the movie. The film has a story based on the life of Yakshagana artistes.”
Shivdhwaj, Reshma Shetty, Chethan Rai Mani, Surya Roa, Surendra Hegde, Seetha Kothe and others are seen in prominent role.
Premiere show of Tulu movie ‘Pattanaje’ will be held on August 31 in Big Cinemas at Bharath Mall.
Pattanaje Committee president Shamina Alva, Frank Fernandes, Daya Sagar and others were present.

Udupi, Aug 29: Tulu film ‘Pattanaje’ is all set to release on September 1 across the coastal district, informed the director if the film and Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee Thonse Vijayakumar Kumar Shetty in a press meet at Udupi press club here on Tuesday, August 29.
Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty said, “Tulu word ‘Pattanaje’ means the tenth day of Mesha month. People of Tulunadu believe that there will be good rains during the month and it is a los a good sign to begin work. The film reflects on Tulu culture, tradition and dignity coupled with comedy.”
The prime location of the film is an ancestral house ‘Padavu Megina mane’ in Mangaluru. The artistes and technicians from Mumbai have given a new dimension to the film.
There are six songs in the film out of four of them in Yakshagana style of dancing, which were sung by Pushkal Kumar Thonse (artiste), Patla Sathish Shetty (Bhagavath) and Prashanth Shetty Nelyady (artiste).
Yermal Shashidhar Shetty, Shamina, Indrali Jayakar Shetty, Kodavoor Diwakar Shetty Thotada mane and others present at press meet.
The film has aroused high expectations in Coastalwood. A grand release is scheduled to be held on September 1 at eight theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
