Recipes - Mogem Curry

Ingredients:
1 Small white pumpkin (MOGEM)  
½ tsp mustard
½ tsp jeera
½ tsp methi
1 tsp coriander
8 long red chilies
¼ onion
Small ball of tamarind
½ cup coconut
1 flake garlic
½ tsp urad dal
½ tsp. oil
Salt as per taste.

For Seasoning:

2 tbsp. oil, 2 bay leaves, ½ tsp. mustard, pinch of asaofetida

Method:
Fry urad dal with ½ tsp. oil in a frying pan. Then raost mustard, coriander, jeera, methi, chilies, coconut, garlic and onion together. Grind the fried masala finely. Cut the pumpin (mogem) in square cubes and cook it with water , when ¾ done add the ground masala and Salt.  Heat oil, splutter mustard and bay leaves & asaofetida (hing). Pur this over the curry and keep covered.

Serve hot with steamed boiled rice.
