Recipes - Dal Palak

Ingredients:
1½ cup tur dal
1 bunch palak
2 large onions
2 large tomatoes
6 flakes garlic
1” ginger
3 green chilies
1 chicken/veg Maggie cube
½ tsp. turmeric powder
½ tsp. chilly powder
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. jeera powder
1 tsp. garam masala powder
½ tsp. mustard
½ tsp. jeera
2 tbsp. oil
Salt as per taste
Method:
Wash dal & pressure cook with little water. Clean & finely chop palak and set aside. Heat a vessel with oil. Add Mustard, when it splutters add Jeera. Later add finely chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies and tomatoes and sauté for 5 mts. Add Maggie cube and all the dry powders and keep frying for another 2 mts. Now add palak and mix well for another 2 mts. Finally add the cooked dal and adjust the consistency by adding water. Add salt as per taste. Keep on medium flame for 5 to 10 mts.
Serve with steamed rice or rotis. Keep the consistency medium thick to serve with rotis.
