Recipes - Apple Rabdi


1 Ltr. full cream milk
1 apple grated (along with skin)
2 - 3 tbsp. fresh cream
3-4 tbsp. sugar ( or as per taste)
½ tsp. vanilla essence
¼ tsp. cardamom powder
2 - 3 tbsp. almond & pista flakes


Boil milk on slow fire, till it reduces to half its quantity. In another pan add grated apple and sugar. Cook this for about 5 mts. Keep stirring until apple is soft. Once the milk is reduced to half its quantity add the apple mixture to milk and keep stirring for about 2 mts. Now add cream. Stir well and remove from flame. Lastly add the essence, cardamom powder and nuts. Cool to room temperature and then chill it.

Editor’s Note: Use soft & sweet apples to avoid milk from curdling.
