Recipes - Sweet Pulav

Ingredients:
2 cups basmati rice
4 cups hot water
2 medium onions (sliced)
2 bay leaves
5-6 cardamoms
5-6 cloves
2 “ cinnamon
1 tbsp. raisons
1 tbsp. cashew nuts
5 tbsp. oil / ghee
3-4 tbsp. sugar
Salt as per taste

Method:

Wash rice gently and soak in water for about 30 minutes. 

Heat a non stick vessel, add  2 tbsp. of oil or ghee.  Brown the onion and set aside.  In the remaining oil, fry cashew nuts and raisons and set aside.   Add 1 tbsp. of oil / ghee and splutter cloves, cinnamon and cardamoms. Add bay leaves and  strained rice.  Saute gently for 3-4 minutes.  Add half of the fried onion, hot water, sugar and salt.  Stir gently.  Keep on high flame until a boil.  Keep covered on slow flame until water evaporates and rice is soft and done. Lastly spread the remaining fried onion, cashew nuts, raisons and one tbsp. of oil/ghee on the top.

    Thank you for the recipe. Do you know any simple recipe for babies between 2 to 3 years which can be prepared quickly and which are healthy and full of nutrition.
