Recipes - Beef Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

½ kg beef steak ( thick pieces)
2  tbsp. dark soya sauce
2 -3 tbsp. cracked black pepper (freshly cracked black pepper not powdered)
2-3 tbsp. olive oil
Salt as per taste

For Pepper sauce:

1 tbsp. corn flour ( mix in ½ cup water)
1 tbsp. dark soya sauce
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. cracked black pepper
2 tbsp. soft butter

Method:

Marinate the beef pieces with soya sauce, 1 tbsp. olive oil, cracked black pepper and little salt (because soya sauce is salty) for at least  2-3 f hours.

Pressure cook the marinated beef adding very little water, until soft. Heat a pan with olive oil and fry the cooked beef pieces until light brown in color.

Reserve the stock (remaining water from cooked beef) for the pepper sauce.

Pepper sauce:

In a small saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add freshly cracked black pepper and cook for 20 seconds in bubbling butter. Add milk, dark soya sauce, corn flour and beef stock.  Bring to boil, then simmer until sauce slightly thickens.

Serve this pepper sauce over the roasted beef steak.

Serve hot with French fries or mashed potatoes.
