Recipes - Sapota (Chikoo) Halwa
Ingredients:
3-4 medium chikoo
4 slices of bread
½ cup sugar
¼ cup ghee
1 tsp. almond flakes
Edible silver sheet (optional)
Method:
Soak bread in water for about 5 mts. Squeeze out the excess water. Heat gee in a thick pan and fry the soaked bread for about 10 mts. Add sugar. Cook till the sugar dissolves. Add sliced chickoo and keep stirring until ghee separates. Spread mixture evenly on a greased plate and decorate with almonds and silver sheet. Cut into desired shape and size.
