In an office that is oval within a house that’s white
You want to see a person who is stable and upright
A steady-handed leader who fosters trust and hope
With tax cuts for young families and resources to cope

Endorsed “swiftly’ by Taylor – Impressed with Kamala’s plan
Hearing her agenda – made me a diehard fan
Strengthening the middle class – an area close to heart
The daughter of Shyamala & Don will play an active part

A former prosecutor, she had a modest start
Raised by a single mother, she grew up tough and smart
Chennai and Jamaica as well as California
Are places that have shaped her – the daughter of Shyamala

Named after the Lotus flower which signifies rebirth
At crisis management she’s adept and down-to earth
From Bancroft Way in Berkeley, she’s walked a million miles
Campaigning for the underdog, immersed in legal files

Fighting for our rights and championing our cause
In her we have a warrior who has respect for laws
With concrete vetted plans outlining policy
Opportunity economy is her speciality

With timeless traits like tolerance, honesty and trust
In the highest office you want someone who’s just
One who acts with self-restraint – who will restore our dream
Dignified with intellect – held in high esteem

Smart on crime the truth we hold is a guarantee
A word not in Kamala’s vocab is – mediocrity
Superheroes everywhere – Kamala knows life’s tough
Juggling childcare cost with work – Life can be quite rough

“Waltzing” in with Timothy; her awesome running mate
They’ll reach out to America and once more make her great
Fulfilling aspirations of folks like you and me
An ethos in which hard work sees upward mobility

Steps in place to help pay bills for groceries and gas
Public spending programs to help the working class
Legislative action to combat rising cost
Support for first-home buyers so no one feels they’re lost

A tax break for small businesses – the backbone of our land
A kick-start to economy – so folks have cash in hand
Universal background checks on weapons that are bought
So, kids can go to school to learn without a second thought

Growth and job creation are upmost on her mind
An equal chance for everyone so no ones left behind
A cap on unfair rent increase to tackle homelessness
And policies on key issues for all to have access

That climate change is not a hoax, Kamala has no doubt
Disrespect for war veterans makes her fume and shout
Subsidies on several drugs and Medicare for all
Healthcare in USA needs a major overhaul

Backing entrepreneurs with cash grants to succeed
With innovative ideas opposed to corporate greed
People before Profit – Main Street celebrates
Reaching out to everyone – in the United States

32 tie-breaking votes – Kamala stands for grit
Make her our 47th – and she’ll prove she does not quit
The promise of America – She wants for each of you
345 million – she’ll make your dream come true

Nevada, Pennsylvania as well as Wisconsin
Georgia, Arizona, North Cary, Michigan
America the beautiful please make your voices heard
Affordable Care Act for all – Don’t kill the mocking bird

Honest Abe and John McCain – the world admires you
Just like our Founding Fathers – trusted and true blue
Trailblazing Republicans root for Walz & Harris
A President for red and blue has been Kamala’s premiss

Torch in hand the statue of liberty has a smile
Camelot restored - the stars and stripes watch from the aisle
Arlington’s at peace for there’s a unifying glance
World leaders in unison say peace will have a chance

Republican or Democrat; Kamala has your back
The sculpted four on Mount Rushmore see her on right track
To lead with calm not chaos – inclusive of each one
Walz and Harris – fair and square – results in a home run

  • The article / poem / short story should be original and previously unpublished in other websites except in the personal blog of the author. We will cross-check the originality of the article, and if found to be copied from another source in whole or in parts without appropriate acknowledgment, the submission will be rejected.
  • The author of the poem / article / short story should include a brief self-introduction limited to 500 characters and his/her recent picture (optional). Pictures relevant to the article may also be sent (optional), provided they are not bound by copyright. Travelogues should be sent along with relevant pictures not sourced from the Internet. Travelogues without relevant pictures will be rejected.
  • In case of a short story / article, the write-up should be at least one-and-a-half pages in word document in Times New Roman font 12 (or, about 700-800 words). Contributors are requested to keep their write-ups limited to a maximum of four pages. Longer write-ups may be sent in parts to publish in installments. Each installment should be sent within a week of the previous installment. A single poem sent for publication should be at least 3/4th of a page in length. Multiple short poems may be submitted for single publication.
  • All submissions should be in Microsoft Word format or text file. Pictures should not be larger than 1000 pixels in width, and of good resolution. Pictures should be attached separately in the mail and may be numbered if the author wants them to be placed in order.
  • Submission of the article / poem / short story does not automatically entail that it would be published. Daijiworld editors will examine each submission and decide on its acceptance/rejection purely based on merit.
  • Daijiworld reserves the right to edit the submission if necessary for grammar and spelling, without compromising on the author's tone and message.
  • Daijiworld reserves the right to reject submissions without prior notice. Mails/calls on the status of the submission will not be entertained. Contributors are requested to be patient.
  • The article / poem / short story should not be targeted directly or indirectly at any individual/group/community. Daijiworld will not assume responsibility for factual errors in the submission.
  • Once accepted, the article / poem / short story will be published as and when we have space. Publication may take up to four weeks from the date of submission of the write-up, depending on the number of submissions we receive. No author will be published twice in succession or twice within a fortnight.
  • Time-bound articles (example, on Mother's Day) should be sent at least a week in advance. Please specify the occasion as well as the date on which you would like it published while sending the write-up.
