Bengaluru; Minister Chauhan calls upon govt staff to adopt cattle under Punyakoti scheme

Bengaluru, Oct 13: Animal Husbandry minister Prabhu B Chauhan has called upon government employees and officials to adopt and rear cattle under the Punyakoti Adoption Scheme.

In a press release, he said the government is committed to protect cattle and empower goshalas under the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act 2020.

He said the government is financially assisting more than 200 goshalas adding that the government intends to set up a goshala in every district to protect and nurture the cattle.

The minister also called upon the government staff to donate a day's salary for the Punyakoti Adoption Scheme and join hands with the government in protecting the goshalas.
