Bengaluru, Oct 5: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has increased the SSLC examination fee by 5% for the 2026-27 academic year.
According to a circular issued on September 10, the fee for students appearing for the SSLC examination for the first time has been increased from Rs 710 to Rs 746.
The revised fee structure will also apply to private and repeat candidates. For private candidates, the registration and application fee has been increased from Rs 248 to Rs 260, while the registration renewal fee for candidates appearing again has been revised from Rs 72 to Rs 76.

For repeat candidates, the fee for appearing in one subject has been increased from Rs 448 to Rs 470. The fee for two subjects has been revised from Rs 559 to Rs 587, while candidates appearing for three or more subjects will now have to pay Rs 790, up from Rs 752.
The KSEAB said the fee increase has been effected in view of the expenditure involved in conducting the SSLC examinations.
