Udupi: Congress workers donate blood in blood donation camp

Udupi, Oct 20: Block Congress held a blood donation camp considering scarcity of blood at the district government hospital. Hundreds of Congress party workers donated blood at the camp held at the Congress Bhavan. Block Congress president Ramesh Kanchan issued certificates and honoured the activists who donated blood.

Ramesh Kanchan said that they came across the poor and the destitute facing scarcity of blood when they were admitted to the district hospital. “More than expected people have donated blood. The office bearers and the members of block Congress will come forward to donate blood when necessary in the future too,” he said.

District blood bank division’s Dr Veena, district Congress vice president Prakhyat Shetty, KPCC leaders M A Gafoor, Veronica Cornelio and others were present.
