Bengaluru: Daiva Nartakas of coastal region to get Rs 2000 monthly stipend - Sunil Kumar

Bengaluru, Oct 21: Kannada and culture minister Sunil Kumar announced that divine dancers who are involved in Daivaradhane in coastal Karnataka region will be given monthly stipend of Rs 2000.

Speaking to scribes, Sunil said, “Daivaradhane or Boothradhane is a part of Hindu culture. Divine dancers above the age of 60, who are involved in this tradition, will be given Rs 2000 monthly stipend. Eligible persons can register themselves in the Kannada and culture department of respective district and claim the same.

The minister also said that the false propaganda by the opposition parties is getting the limelight, while the achievements are sidelined. He spoke at the Madhyama Manthana programme organized by media section of BJP.
