Ganguly will Play in the Next Game: Yuvraj

Chandigarh, May 9 (IANS) Pune Warriors captain Yuvraj Singh has said that Sourav Ganguly will play in the team's next Indian Premier League (IPLS) game against Deccan Chargers Tuesday.

Ganguly was signed by the Warriors as replacement for Ashish Nehra after he went unsold in the IPL auctions for the fourth edition. Ganguly was roped in at the last moment and many were hoping that the former India captain will turn things around for the bottom-placed Pune side.

Ganguly did not play in the Warriors' last two matches.

Yuvraj said Ganguly has a good chance of playing against Chargers in Hyderabad Tuesday.

"He (Sourav) will be playing in the next game," Yuvraj told reporters at a felicitation ceremony here Monday.

Yuvraj had earlier said that Ganguly did not feature in their last two matches as he needed more time for preparation. "I have never seen him prepare like this even for for a Test match," Yuvraj had said Sunday.

On his team's poor run in the IPL, Yuvraj said: "The talent is definitely there and the team could have won three more games. But that's the way Twenty20 is and hopefully, we should be able to win our remaining four games."

Harbhajan Singh, who was also at the event, dismissed a media report claiming that Indian cricketers had links with bookies. "We don't need to react to such silly things."
