New Delhi, Nov 30: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai called on President Draupadi Murmu in Delhi on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister presented a traditional Mysore Peta to the President and held cordial discussions.
Later, Bommai met Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajenda Singh Shekhavat and held discussions with various irrigation issues pertaining to Karnataka, especially the State’s Mekedatu Project, Upper Bhadra and the third phase of the Upper Krishna project as well as the Kalasa Banduri Nala project.
Union minister Bhagwant Khooba, State Water Resources Minister Govind M Karjol, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N Majunath Prasad, Urban Development and Water Resources Department Additional Chief Secretary Rakesh Singh were present during the discussion.
The Chief Minister has also condoled the death of former MLA Kumble Sundar Rao and said in the death of the noted Yakshagana artiste, the State has lost an eminent exponent of Yakshangana.
Bommai lauded the services of the deceased MLA as the representative of Surathkal assembly constituency and also as chairman of the Yakshagana Academy.
