Udupi, Dec 2: Bale Muhurat was held on December 2 at Puttige Math as prelude to 2024 Puttige Paryaya.

The pooja rights of Udupi Sri Krishna will be handed over to Puttige Math by Krishnapura Math in January 2024. A year before the handing over, the religious ceremonies are held.

Seer of Puttige Math Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji planted a plantain in the farm of the math and completed the ritual. A procession including panchavadya was held at Car Street.

Puttige Math distributed banana saplings to many devotees. The devotees offer the bananas and the plantain leaf to the math in order to serve food and banana for pooja.

Next Paryaya seer Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji announced projects like Koti Geetha Lekha Yajna, Parthasarathi Chariot, Krishna Yajna Yaga, Madhwa Vritta, tourist bunglow and international convention of Bhagavadgita for the next paryaya period.

Udupi city municipality president Sumitra Nayak, retired principal of Sanskrit college Haridasa Upadhyaya, Laxminarayan Asranna of Kateel temple, entrepreneur Kishore Rao, Harikrishna Punaroor and Pradeep Kalkura were present.
