Mangaluru, Dec 23: Sauharda Christmas programme was held on December 21 under the joint aegis of St Sebastian church Permannur, Catholic Sabha Permannur unit, Sadbhavana Vedike, Lions Club Permannur, Jamaate Islami Hind Ullal unit, CSI bishop sergeant memorial church Chembugudde.

Christmas carols were sung in the beginning. Member of Catholic Sabha Melwyn C D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Vidyadhar Shetty did the introductory speech. Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest presided over the function.

Lion Melwin D’Souza, Janab Mohammed Kunhi, Lion Vijayalaxmi Prasad Rai, Prasad Rai Kallimar, Naveen Felix D’Souza, K T Suvarna, Lion Arun Monteiro, Janab Abdul Kareem, Fr Edward Karkada, Maurice Monteiro and Philomena D’Souza were on the dais.

Christmas cake was cut and Carols were sung by the members of the church. Lion Prashanth D’Souza rendered vote of thanks. The programmed was compered by Rishal D’Souza. More than 350 people attended the programme. Kuswar savouries were distributed.
