Udupi: Adani Foundation flags off infrastructure development works in Palimaru panchayat

Udupi, Dec 23: Udupi Power Corporation Limited, in hands with its CSR wing – Adani Foundation, inaugurated the new concrete road and performed bhoomi puja for upgrading the 2 roads at a total project cost of Rs 23 lac.

The road connecting to SLRM unit in Adve village, upgraded by Adani Foundation was inaugurated and kachcha road in front of Palimaru grama panchayat office and Sannoni village were taken-up for upgradation by Adani Foundation under its CSR. The inauguration and Bhoomi pooja were performed by Gayathri Prabhu, president of Palimaru grama panchayat and Kishore Alva, president of Adani Group.

Kishore Alva spoke and informed that Palimar is one among those 7 Grama Panchayats where Adani Foundation is executing development works under CSR in the field of Infrastructure development in addition to education and health. He told that for the past 5 years, Adani Foundation has taken up community infrastructure development works worth Rs 1.15 crores in Palimaru GP villages and these works are based on the yearly action plan submitted by GP.

Gayathri Prabhu thanked Adani Foundation for delivering the CSR benefits to the rural society.

Shashidhar Acharya, PDO, Sunil Devadiga, VA, Rayesh Pai, Praveen Poojary, Sujatha, Rashmi, Satish Devadiga, Krishna Kumar Shetty, members of Palimaru grama panchayat, Ravi R Jere, DGM of Adani UPCL and Anudeep from Adani Foundation were present on the occasion.
