Beltangady, Dec 25: "Christmas Souhardha Koota 2022" was observed in Renkedaguttu here under the auspices of Christ King ward of Holy Redeemer Church.
The programme was inaugurated by Dn Joel Preetham Rego by lighting the lamp. He delivered the introductory words.
Little kids performed a welcome dance. The chief guests Fr Clifford Pinto, Ganesh Aital, Mohammad Isaaq Al Fazil Kausari in their speeches highlighted the harmony between different religions.
Jayananda Gowda, vice president of Beltangady Town Panchayat was present in the programme.
Pauline Rego, Leena D'Souza, Philip D'Souza and Juliet Pais were present on the dais.
Christ King ward members performed the Christmas tableau and distributed kuswar to the gathering.
Philip D'Souza welcomed the gathering, Walter Monis proposed a vote of thanks. Cecilia Fernandes compered the programme.
