Mangaluru: Murders occurring in coastal region, a cause for anxiety – Wakf board chief Shafi Saadi

Mangaluru, Dec 25: “Murders that are occurring in the coastal region have caused anxiety among people,” said Shafi Saadi, president of state Wakf board.

“All the murder cases on the coast should be handed over to the CBI. There is politics and other conspiracies behind them which should be exposed by the CBI investigations,” he said.

“The murder accused are getting released within 15 days. The development has dissatisfied the people. Police should slap strict sections on those who are accused of murders and their accomplices and arrest them. A penalty of Rs 10 crores should be slapped on the murder accused and the amount should be handed over to the families of the murder victims. The amount should be recovered at least after mortgaging the properties of the murder accused,” he said speaking in Surathkal.
