Mangaluru, Feb 7: The 254th monthly repertory programme by Mandd Sobhann was held at Kalangann, Mangaluru on February 5. Singer and musician Fr Cyprian Carlo USA rang the bell and inaugurated the programme.

Meanwhile prizes were distributed to the winners of Natalan Khel (Christmas games) competitions. Kordel Kalakar received the first prize of Rs 25 thousand, Natalan Neketran Permannur received Rs five thousand as the most watched team in You Tube. Sangathi Vamanjoor and Star and Bells Niddel teams were felicitated. Dolla Mangaluru, Rony Crasta Kelarai and Arun Raj Rodrigues cooperated as the judges. Gurkar Eric Ozario, president Louis Pinto and secretary Kishore Fernandes were on the dais.

Geeth Shakun Panaji team in the leadership of Anupama, famous singer with melodious voice from Goa and Kishori Amonkar and Dr Shakuntala Bharne, pupil of Dr Gangubai Hanegal conducted musical jam session titled ‘Gomte Goin Horaita (I am praising the beautiful Goa). The singing of Pravin Hede along with Bharne pleased the audience.

Vishnu Shirodkar played the keyboard, Surjith Dhali was on Tabla, Prakash Amonkar on Octopod and Russel Rodrigues played the guitar in the music. Manasi Walve compered the programme.
