Udupi, Feb 10: "National level Rangotsava will be held by ‘Parichaya’ Pamboor', an organization established for preserving the culture, tradition and art of the land,” said Prakash Noronha, secretary Parichaya Pamboor.
Speaking in a press conference, he said, “Parichaya Pamboor is celebrating its decennial year. On this occasion, a seven-day national level Rangotsava has been organized at ‘Prakruthi’ open theatre. The rangotsava will be held from February 12 to 18. Kannada, Konkani, Tulu, Hindi and Bundeli language dramas will be staged during the seven days. Parichaya aims at giving support and encouragement for the desi art, culture, literature, music, dance and theatre activities.”
A new open theatre has been built in Pamboor on land donated by Mary Noronha. Wilson Kayyar, internationally acclaimed artiste, has designed the open theatre. The rangotsava will be held in the same open theatre from February 12.
Anil D’sa, president Ivan Peter, treasurer Arul D’souza, trustee Kurkal Sadashiva Bangera were present during the press conference.
