Bantwal: 103 candidates file nominations for Pudu gram panchayat polls scheduled on Feb 25

Bantwal, Feb 15: Pudu gram panchayat elections are scheduled to be held on February 25. As many as 103 candidates have submitted their nominations for the elections. One of them has been rejected. The remaining 102 nominations are valid.

The maximum number of nominations filed for the elections have aroused curiosity. Besides Congress, BJP, the DPI party supported candidates, independent candidates are also in the fray.

The record number of candidates amid the anticipated scarcity of candidates in gram panchayat elections was surprising. February 17 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations. One will have to wait and see who remains in the fray amid all the political gimmickry.
