Belur (Hassan), Feb. 21: Reacting publicly for the first time on the ugly spat among two senior lady officers in the State Government, IAS officer RohiniSinduri and IPS officer Roopa Moudgil, who have been fighting against each other in the social media, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday said the Chief Secretary Vanditasharma has been directed to take suitable action against the government officials.

Speaking to media persons at Belur in Hassan district on his way to participate in the BJP public meeting in which BJP National President J P Nadda is participating, Bommai said the government has viewed the matter very seriously.

``The Chief Secretary will look into the matter and take suitable action,’’ he said.

Both the lady officers have already met the Chief Secretary in Vidhana Soudha separately.

The Chief Minister said the Chief Secretary, who has already discussed the issue with the two lady officers on Monday in Bengaluru, has already issued written directions.

``The Chief Secretary will take appropriate action when the senior government officials do not follow the code of conduct and maintain discipline while on government duty,’’ Bommai said.

Later, BJP National President J P Nadda inaugurated the BJP public function at Belur.

State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, National General Secretaries Arun Singh and C T Ravi, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Minister Gopalaiah and other leaders attended the meeting.
