Mangaluru, Mar 13: Police commissioner Kuldeep Jain stressed upon the need to strengthen beat system under city police commissionerate which also builds connection with the public.

According the earlier beat system, responsibility was given to a police personal of a particular area under a police station limit. A WhatsApp group was formed for every particular beat for better coordination with the people and if required meeting was also conducted. Now as per the directions of the police commissioner, the beat meeting will be conducted thrice every month.

Such meeting will help to directly interact with the public and receive their grievances. Meanwhile, the police will also get some information and suggestions through the meeting. Apart from designated police, even other police officials will take part in the beat meetings.
