Mumbai, Aug 12: The 20th season of Bigg Boss Hindi is set to bring a major twist to the popular reality show, with the official trailer introducing a new concept called “Extra Jeevan Daan”. Salman Khan returns as the host for the milestone season, which promises higher stakes and a revamped gameplay format.

The trailer opens with two warriors engaged in an intense battle before Salman Khan makes a dramatic appearance and stops the fight. He then introduces the new twist, declaring that contestants will receive an “Extra Jeevan Daan” in the game.

While the trailer confirms the additional opportunity, the details of how and when contestants can use it have been kept under wraps. The mystery surrounding the twist is expected to become a key element of the season as contestants enter the Bigg Boss house.

Salman Khan also hinted that the new concept may be more complicated than it appears. “Bigg Boss mein har saal game badalta hai. Is baar sirf game nahi, khelne ka tareeka bhi badalne wala hai. ‘Jeevan Daan’ sunne mein jitna seedha lagta hai, utna hai nahi. Baaki, ghar ke andar pata chal hi jaayega,” he said.

Alok Jain, Head of Hindi and English Entertainment Business at JioStar, said the 20th season marks a significant milestone for the franchise and that the format has been reimagined to introduce new layers to the gameplay.

He said the new elements are designed to challenge conventional strategies and force contestants to adapt, take risks and make choices that could reshape their journey inside the house.

Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 will premiere on September 6 on JioHotstar and Colors, bringing a new set of contestants, tasks, alliances and controversies along with the mysterious “Extra Jeevan Daan” twist.
