Bangalorean Researcher on Maoists Reported Missing in Bihar

Bangalore, Jun 29: 23-year-old Juhi from Bangalore, who was doing research on Maoists in Bihar, has been reported missing.

She along with her facilitator Pradip Kumar Das went missing while on their way to Jamui railway station in Bihar to catch a train to Bangalore Tuesday June 28, sources said.

Juhi left for Bihar a fortnight ago to do research on the problems affecting Maoists in that state. She visited various Maoist areas and interacted with them with the help of Das.

She met Pradip Kumar Das during her stay in Bihar and he consented to guide her in her research. He helped her in interacting with civil society activists, locals and NGO workers, it is learnt.

Police are trying to trace them down.
