Udupi: Jamiyyatul Falah Distributes Scholarships Worth Rs 1 Lac to Students

Udupi, Jul 4: Jamiyyatul Falah (JF) Udupi taluk unit held a scholarship distribution programme here at Hotel Durga International on Sunday July 3.

A sum of Rs one lac was distributed among 45 eligible students pursuing their first PU and degree courses from JFU's zakat fund.

President of JF Jeddah unit explained the efforts done to establish JF and urged members to help the needy. Noting the importance of education he urged parents to utilize the available opportunities.

Jagadish Rao, senior lecturer at Government College Tenkanidiyoor, Udupi asked students to apply for other scholarships provided by the government and private organizations to support higher studies.

Khaleel Ahmed, district general secretary explained the objectives of JF's future plans. He also detailed various scholarships availabe and ways to apply for them.

Mohammad Suhan, a JCI trainer interacted with parents and students in a session on 'Goal Setting' held prior to the programme.

Kasim Barkoor presided over the programme. Nasser Yakoob proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was witnessed by 60 students and 50 parents.
