Udupi, Jul 6: ZP president Katpady Shankar Poojary inaugurated the state government’s new education programme ‘Shalegagi Navu Nivu’ (Let’s go to School campaign) at Kaup Government Model Higher Primary School here on Tuesday July 5.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the newly-launched education programme by the state administration in state-run schools has great significance and would be better implemented by concerted efforts of school authorities and school betterment committees.

State deputed district programme implementing officer and district secretary Ramesh Jalaki said that the district has made distinct achievement in the education sphere and hoped for continuous progress in this regard.

Deputy commissioner Dr M P Reju, ZP member Arun Shetty Padoor, Kaup GP president Yogish Rai, Kaup Government Model Higher Primary School betterment committee president Ramesh Shetty, and Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Narayan Karvi were present on the occasion.
