Mangalore: Normal Rain in Coast

Mangalore, Jul 6: On Tuesday July 5, Karnataka coast received normal rains. Almost all the places in the twin-districts received good rains, with intermittent downpour at some places. There was sunshine in between, even though the climate remained cloudy most of the time.

Comparatively, Puttur taluk in Dakshina Kannada district and Udupi district received less rains.

A release from the meteorological department has warned of heavy rains during the next two days in almost all the places in the coast and a few places located in the hinterland. As 65 mm of rain is expected to pound the coast during this period, it has asked the control rooms and district officials to be in readiness to handle any eventualities.
