Mangalore, Jul 7: On account of landslide that occurred near Sakleshpur, the day train between Yashwantpur and the city got stranded at Hassan railway station for about five hours on Wednesday July 6.

On Wednesday morning, mud got deposited on the railway tracks on account of landslide that occurred in the hills between Kadadaravalli and Donigal. The officials also offered to refund proportionate fare to the passengers who were in a hurry to move forward.

About 100 passengers chose to get refund of ticket amount and reach Mangalore by buses. The operation to clear mud from the tracks was completed in the evening, and the train left Hassan at around 4.50 pm.
