Bantwal: BEO K Sudhakar Assures of Efforts to Implement Tulu in Schools

Bantwal, Jul 8: "Concerted efforts will be made to effectively implement the state project of teaching Tulu as a third optional subject in the taluk," said BEO K Sudhakar.

He was speaking at the programme held to distribute Tulu textbooks under the aegis of the public instructions department at B C Road here on Thursday July 7.

He also urged the teachers to create awareness among students and their parents about taking up Tulu as a third optional subject.

TP president Shailaja Shetty distributed the textbooks while TP vice-president Dinesh Amtoor conveyed best wishes.

Karnataka Tulu Academy registrar Chandrahas Rai said that Tulu study is a programme of the state education department and the Academy has taken an earnest interest in reaching Tulu textbooks to every school in the state in order to promote Tulu study among the students.

Academy member Ashok Shetty welcomed the gathering. Kodange School headmaster Sheshappa proposed the vote of thanks. Journalist Gopal Anchan compered the programme.
