Mangalore, Jul 10: City's leading orthopedic surgeon Dr M Shantaram Shetty has been awarded honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), England.
The Fellowship was awarded recently at London in recognition of Dr Shetty's contribution to the field of orthopedics and traumatology.
Dr Shantharam Shetty is the past president of Indian Orthopaedic Association, besides being the trustee of AO Foundation, Switzerland. AO Foundation is an international foundation specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, in which over 10,000 healthcare professionals are engaged in research, development, clinical investigations, and education. Dr Shetty continues active research and practice in the field of hip and knee arthroplasty.
