Udupi, May 7: Prasad Raj Kanchan, the Congress candidate for the Udupi constituency, criticized the BJP government, stating, "When Janardhan Poojary was the Union Minister, he provided loans to thousands of people in the undivided district of Dakshina Kannada and assisted numerous families. However, since the BJP came into power, they have failed to create employment opportunities for educated youth. Today, rocks are being cut and sold without permission."
Kanchan made these remarks during a meeting held at Kunjalu Circle and Havanje Sneha Circle.
He further stated, "Under the leadership of Manmohan Singh, the country rose to the fifth position globally. However, since the BJP took power in 2014, India has fallen to the 85th position."
Prakyath Shetty, Veronica Cornelio, and Gopi Naik were also in attendance.
