Udupi, May 7: Vinay Kumar Sorake, the Congress candidate for Kaup, announced that people residing on government lands will be provided with title deeds.

Sorake made this statement during a house-to-house campaign in Kair, Perdoor Bukkigudde.

He further mentioned, "The BJP attempted to forcefully evict poor people living on government lands by using bulldozers. This is one of the BJP's accomplishments in the past five years.

"The Congress has a strong history of allocating land to landless individuals through declaration laws, starting from the times of Indira Gandhi. If the Congress is victorious, our first priority will be to grant title deeds to those residing on government land."

Sorake also visited Vijayalakshmi Cashew Industries and APM Cashew Industries, where he listened to the concerns of the laborers.

Santhosh Kulal, Dinesh Poojary, Shobha, Ramdas, Harish, Rama Kulal, Raghunath Naik, and Sharath were present during the campaign.
