M'lore: Konkani Folklore Awareness prog Organized at Little Flower High School

Mangalore, Jul 11: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Matove in association with the Catholic Sabha & Stri Sangatan Kinnigoly organized a Konkani Folklore awareness programme at Little Flower High School near Kinnigoly Church here on Sunday July 10.

The programme attracted enthusiastic participation from 8 parishes from Kirem, Kinnigoly, Mulky, Pakshikere, Balkunje, Kateel, Neerode, Niddodi of the Kinnigoly Ward.

The entire programme was divided into two parts .The first part comprised of the inauguration followed by folk awareness lecture by resource person James D’Souza.

The second part was the vovio –vehrse training programme conducted by Mrs. Hilda D’Souza and
Arun D’Souza .

Edna D’Souza, the president of Warado Catholic Womans Organisation and Ivy Aranha, president of Catholic Sabha Kinnigoly were present.

Valerian Sequeira welcomed the guests and vote of thanks was given by Herric Pais. The programme
was compered by Philomena Sequeira

The programme was well attended and appreciated by one and all.
