Chikkamagaluru, May 13: Congress gained upper hand in Chikkamagaluru district under the guidance of Vivek Raj Poojary, Congress election in-charge for Chikkamagaluru.

Vivek gave credit to team work and youths to ensure victory of Congress in Chikkamagaluru constituency. He took up the initiative and visited more than 21,000 houses to convince them about the works of Congress.

Post the victory, Vivek thanked Rahul Gandhi, D K Shivakumar, D K Suresh, Dakshina Kannada district president Harish Kumar, Ivan D’Souza, and Chikkamagaluru district president Dr Anshuwanth for their constant support and guidance.

He said, “Even youths joined hands. We all strived hard to make sure Chikkamagaluru will be under Congress. We met people all over and gave assurance about the party’s guarantee card.”

Congress has always given opportunities to youngsters to excel in political field and Vivek Raj is one such person from Dakshina Kannada who took initiative and ensured that Congress gains victory in Chikkamagaluru district.
