Friendly cricket match held between MAHE Manipal, Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai for cancer awareness

Udupi, May 15: A friendly cricket match was played between MAHE Manipal and Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai teams on May 14.

The cricket match was organized by the Department of Surgical Oncology of Kasturba Medical College and Hospital Manipal with the slogan "Together we fight" to raise awareness about cancer disease. The team of doctors from MAHE Manipal was led by Lft Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh vice-chancellor, MAHE, Manipal.

The Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai team was led by Dr Shailesh V Shrikande, deputy director, Tata Memorial Hospital.

Ther match was held to create awareness among the public about cancer that now with complete treatment available, it is 100% curable if it is diagnosed and treated in the early stages.
