Wishing speedy recovery to DGP and et.al. Our police should be commended to bailout their superior and colleague in time. Few days ago, I came across a news item in some epaper in which few police constables died in a naxalite incident in India and their superior admitting publicly for calling garbage lorry to move the dead police bodies to their homes. That doesn't sound good or command respect to this nation or the concerned department. I dont like to vent anger against our policemen in handling their superior's case with priority. The same police department too should nail wreckless driving in the entire district and post adequate police at all important junctions to bring down the mortality rates due to vehicular accidents.

It is sad to learn that DGP & his wife are injured in a bus accident. Wish them both a speedy recovery.

With due respect to the DGP and Police dept, I hope department and authorities realise what these bus drivers can do to people when they drive like crazy drivers. This is how comman man suffers almost daily, comman man looses life due to somebody else's negligence. May be this should serve as an eye opener to the Police department / RTO to book those drivers who involve in any accident like this. Provoke their licence, take appropriate action, suspend licence for a minimum period of three months. Only when RTO / Police department takes these stern actions, will drivers learn lessons, the hard way.
What we know and what happens is that when bus drivers come under these accident scanners, owners go to police department, pay a huge bribe and the drivers go scot free. They are back on their drivers seat, to continue to be a public threat to other vehicles, pedestrians etc.
Lets wake up at least now. We request police department to start acting on these drivers.

First the traffic police should check on the horns the bus drivers use, dangerous overtake, style of parking on highways.
why we see police on road patrol when they cant check on simple things like these.

So much coverage for what appears to be in the photos, as a minor accident. It seems surprising that the DGP and his wife were visiting the temple on a weekday and during working hours. At whose expense?

It is always the poor & normal citizens who suffer from this express driving. Now at least then the Govt courruption machinery learns it lesson. who is giving so many permits to the buses? who is making roads with so many port holes & so many curves? You talk about GPS but how many curves are there on a NATIONAL HIGHWAY? And finally who many of you will sit in a bus that will take 2 hrs were as an express will take you in 1:30 hrs. I have seen old SCS buses travelling from Mangalore to Udupi when out of buisness just because they use to tke more time to reach then these super express. And now are we also not responsible?

Langoolacharya, in India there is no room on the road so that two vehicles can cross each other comfortably without stopping and negotiating the space. The actual comfort space is gone into the pocket of contractor, officer and the politician!! and the above result!!!

Bus drivers drive these busses without due consideration to any other road users. Any one caught driving dangerously should have their licence cancelled and made reappear for driving test after a year. This will make them drive more carefully.

Accidents are accidents...can not be considered as criminal act only when Police officials are at the receiving end...!!!???? DGP was traveling in the official car and driver...with wife....what official duty he could do when with his wife..!!??? When innocent common people die because of accidents the opposite driver is left Scott free...why can be in this instance..!!?????

All public transport buses(both goverment & private) should be fixed with GPS deivce and connected to police control room.
Speed limits should be fixed based on type and location of the road, Every time vehicale exceeds the spped limit penalty should be slaped on the vehicale. Every time offence is made an SMS alert should be sent to the registered mobile of driver/owner.
When driver/owener of vehicale start realizing that they are acumulating large somes of penalities, they will atomatically mend thier ways.

While whishing speedy recovery for Dr. Guruprasad and all injured in the accident would like to point out the fact, how unsafe driving is on our roads and specially so during rain. Call on the authorities to take a serious note. A little monitoring and punishing the erring drivers will go a long way in improving the situation.

If speeding bus driver could not see a huge Innova car and ram into it,then where is our fate as small car driver? I think that God's of Karnataka Politicians are sending this message. Now Mr Seemanth Kumar can feel the pain of the pinch. We the public suffer this trauma everyday when we see a speeding private bus coming towards us while driving. Go to RTO and spell out the problem, their answer is "navu enu madabeku" I follow or pass Buses coming to Neermarga from B.C. Road everyday morning between 8am and 10 am packed with passenger not only inside but also on top of bus plus few standing on ladder.

These buses come through curved hills of Benjana Padav and Padu. If one falls off from top of the bus, will land on the vehicle following behind. I wasted my time to go to RTO and explain this misery but nothing sinks into brain dead people. So I request the public to put pressure on Police Commissioner about this matter because I am tired.
