Mangaluru: Software employee killed in tipper-scooter collision

Mangaluru, Jun 15: A scooter rider died below Pumpwell flyover in the city as a tipper hit his two-wheeler on Wednesday June 14.

The deceased is identified as Sandesh Thomas (25), a resident of Ichlampadi and employee of a software company at Bendorewell.

Sandesh was riding below the Pumpwell flyover at around 4 am on Wednesday, when an over-speeding tipper arriving from old Kankanady road, collided with his scooter. A seriously injured Sandesh was admitted to hospital. However, he succumbed after a while.

Sandesh Thomas had brought one of his friends to a tea shop near Pumpwell and was going to pick another friend when the unfortunate accident occurred.
