Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, June 21: The commissioner of the department of religious endowment has requested temples coming under A and B category in the state to allow senior citizens above the age of 65 years to have darshan on priority basis ahead of others.

The department has directed the temples to provide separate space for such senior citizens if possible on production of documents pertaining to their age such as Aadhaar card as the case may be due to their inability to stand in long queues.

The department has also asked temples to put up help desks in temples to assist citizens above the age of 65 years and assign responsible staff to handle them.

" The department has also asked temples to put up help desks in temples to assist citizens above the age of 65 years and assign responsible staff to handle them." - This will create another kind of lobby for paisa vasool from innocent citizens. What is the guarantee that these volunteers start harassing the visitors?
